New pact eases the way for Nunez students seeking UNO business degrees – The Times

Nunez Community College students will be able to transfer credits to the University of New Orleans for bachelor’s degrees in business, under a new agreement between the two institutions.

The pact, which UNO President Peter Fos and Nunez Chancellor Thomas Warner signed Monday (March 24), lets Nunez students transfer up to 43 credit hours in general-education courses and as many as 18 credit hours in other required courses. UNO requires 120 credit hours for a bachelor’s degree.

To be eligible, a Nunez student must have at least a 2.25 grade-point average and amass at least 24 credit hours, plus courses in English and mathematics.

Students in UNO’s College of Business Administration can major in accounting; business administration; finance; hotel, restaurant and tourism administration; management; and marketing.
