The Montvale Public School District’s Integrated Preschool program for the 2014/15 school year has openings available for general education preschoolers. The program differs from standard preschools in that it combines the education of special education and general education preschoolers.

Children enrolled in the program will attend either five half-day mornings or afternoons per week.

Special education preschoolers will be placed in the class after an evaluation process. General education student placement will be determined by a lottery on April 7.

To be eligible, a general education child must be 3 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2014. A birth certificate, proof of immunization, and proof of residency are required. The child must be toilet trained prior to being accepted into the program.

The fee for the program for general education lottery students is $2,500 per year. However, if a family has a financial hardship, they will be able to contact Marion Latz, business administrator, to discuss their concerns.

Applications are available at the Office of Special Services at Memorial Elementary School; at, or by mail by calling 201-391-2900. ext. 600.

Applications must be received by Monday, March 31.
