Michele McCartney, the Creative Design and Marketing Manager for the Cosmosphere, recently won three American Inhouse Design Awards from Graphic Design USA.

McCartney’s work was selected from over 6,000 entries and her winning designs include a general education booklet series, the Everything Under the Stars invitation and the Gemini X Pathway to the Moon invitation.

McCartney has been with the Cosmosphere for nearly 10 years and while she has entered the competition and won before, she said that this time the recognition came as a surprise.

“With our new logo and new look, I thought we should enter something,” said McCartney. When she took the idea to Meredith told her to enter all some projects. In July, the team learned three of McCartney’s six entries would be receiving awards.

“While Michele might be surprised, our team is not,” said Mimi Meredith, Vice President of Marketing and Development. “Michele does incredible work and truly deserves this recognition. We’re honored and thankful to have her at the Cosmosphere.”

Other winning intuitions included Amazon, BlueCross BlueShield, Hilton Hotels, Pepsi Co. and the United Nations, to name a few.
